Valentino BF (2020) is a rising star from the 30+ year Branscomb Farm breeding program in California. Just in his five year old year, shown only lightly on the west coast, this fourth generation Branscomb stallion has already achieved national championship status in both the show hunter and jumper disciplines having been named Jumper Champion of the North American Sporthorse Stallion Test (NASST West) in 2025 after claiming that title as a four year old in 2024. This year, he also qualified for the 2025 USEF Young Jumper Finals at Traverse City but did not attend due to distance and conflict with the stallion test schedule. More impressively, just recently, at the prestigious USHJA National Championships in Las Vegas against some of the best show hunters in the country, this youngster, with the legendary John French aboard, claimed the win in the $25,000 invitational USHJA National Open Hunter Derby Championships under the lights in the South Pointe Arena. Performing flawlessly all week, Valentino BF also took the 3’3” Green Hunter Division Championship, a win in the Green Classic, was named High Score Hunter of the week, and ultimately named Grand Green Hunter Champion of the National show. Athletic, brave, and intelligent, he shows a level of calm, cooperation, and confidence well beyond his years.
