On 74 coastal acres near San Francisco,we breed, train, and compete elite-quality young jumping horses from top European bloodlines and offer full service boarding and training, competition, and breeding services to clients looking for top quality boarding and education for themselves and their equine partners. 

Our speciality is breeding and training young horses for competitive careers in equestrian sports providing both foundation dressage and jumping education for developing horses and their riders. Farm Manager & Principal Trainer Ivy Creahan supervises a staff of eleven professionals including two assistant trainers who ride and teach, two additional professional riders who specialize in training youngsters 3-4 years of age, four grooms, a breeding program manager, facility staff and a part-time resident veterinarian.  Local area clients interested in training with our farm staff, purchasing a Branscomb Farm horse, and/or attending competitions with the Farm show team, may join the farm as a boarder client on a space available basis and by mutual invitation. Through individual instruction, the talents of horse and rider are cultivated together for a lifetime of mutual enjoyment and competitive success.

During the breeding season,  the Farm offers state of the art theriogenology & veterinary support to local breeding clients and their veterinarians through an affiliation with UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital Department of Equine Reproduction.   Branscomb Farm supports the full range of equine reproduction services for breeding mares, foals, and stallions as well as boarding and training packages for the field raising and age-appropriate training of young horses and their riders.   

Our breeding strategy is to marry a unique collection of performance-tested premium, elite, or states premium Verband approved mares with frozen semen from Europe’s best stallions and our own.   As testament the quality of our breeding program, many of our USA bred horses are exported to riders, breeders, and investors outside of the USA who find we compare favorably with European purchases.  Branscomb Farm bred horses have achieved national and international recognition through both breeding and high level competition success.   A limited sales collection of young horses are offered for sale in the late spring each year.
